My 8 year old daughter just started to play golf. This set (bag and clubs) is perfect for her. Comes with the essential clubs (driver, putter, 5/7/9) all appear to be of quality craftmanship and the bag has enough pockets (maybe could use a few more) to hold her golf balls, tees and other misc stuff. The bottle holder mesh pocket is a little tight. Wouldn't recommend you put anything other than a standard bottle of water in there or it will probably tear. The straps are designed to go over both shoulders. For the price, I would definitely recommend this set to anyone looking to purchase clubs for their 8-12 yr old daughter who is just starting to play.

Having just taken up golf myself, I was going to the driving range and my daughter asked to come. We borrowed a driver for her and went hitting. To my surprise she had alot of fun,didn't complain at all and even hit a few further than I did(topped the ball a few times). So I asked her if she'd want her own set for x-mas and she said yes. I just recieved the set and was pleasently surpised at the overall quality. They seem sturdy enough and seemed to be balanced pretty well. These will be perfect for her for the next few years and if she doesn't use them all that often it's still worth the money. I just hope she doesn't find them before x-mas.

The smash bag is recommended by many golf instructors. The training aid stops the golf club at impact in the correct position. While its not the same as hitting the golf ball at impact its gives one the correct feeling, balance and position. This correct position can then be repeated. This resistance can be transferred to hitting the golf ball on the range. Being new to golf I found the smash bag very helpful in getting the correct feel at impact. I have used it repeatedly as a training tool.

I think this bag is good for the money. it probably work the same as items twice the price so from that perspective it is a very good value. The on problem I had was that the strap used to carry the bag has wripped off from one end of the bag. While this might not seem like a big deal, I do move the bag around a lot and the strap made that very convienent.

I just began playing golf in May '09 and my instructor suggested I buy an impact bag to help me develop a strong, straight swing. I waited for a few months and strugled with the dreaded slice and fade. I was beginning to get the feel for a proper impact but was still strugling. After I got the SKLZ bag and worked with it for a few days, I saw my ball starting to fly straight where I was aiming. No more adjusting my stance and aim point for me. I've played quite a few times with this set of clubs and I have to say, not bad. Not a bad set of clubs at all. The irons are fairly forgiving and the shafts are just as rigid as you'd expect of them. The bag works great. It's small compared to some of the bulkier bags but has more than enough pockets. The book-bag style strap takes a little time to get adjusted to.



The largest problem I've had with this set is by far the woods. If you really need the fairway woods do not buy this set. They are glued on and both the 3 and 5 wood heads have completely come off the shaft. The 3 happened while I was at the driving range (slightly embarrassing). The 5 I pulled off with my bare hand. The irons and the hybrid are pretty solid. Just do not use the woods.
